Building up Mamelodi, together

A community centre for the families around us โ€” after-school care, a warm meal, skills that lead to work, and a place where everyone is known by name.

Why we are here

Nobody should face a hard season alone

A centre, not a hand-out

A centre, not a hand-out

We started at a single table and now open our doors six days a week. Everything we do is built with the families we serve, not simply given to them โ€” because dignity is the point, not an afterthought.

What we do

Four programmes, running every week.

After-school care

After-school care

Skills & work

In their words

From the families and volunteers who make this place.

My two come here every afternoon. They are fed, their homework is done, and I can work my shift without worrying. It changed everything for us.

I did the sewing course here and now I take in work from three shops. I did not think that was a door that would ever open for me.

I retired and thought I was done being useful. Two mornings a week in the garden proved me wrong.
