Picked this morning, on your table tonight.

A family farm near Howick in the KZN Midlands โ€” vegetables, free-range eggs and grass-fed beef, at the farm stall or in a weekly box.

The farm

Three generations, one valley

Mist in the morning, rain in the afternoon

Mist in the morning, rain in the afternoon

The Midlands mistbelt gives us cool mornings and summer rain, which is exactly what leafy vegetables want. We farm 40 hectares without sprays we would not use in our own garden, rotate the beds with the cattle, and pick to order on Thursdays and Fridays.

What we grow

Whatever is in season, picked the day before it leaves the farm.

Vegetables

Spinach, beans, tomatoes, butternut and twenty more, through the seasons.

Free-range eggs

Grass-fed beef

The spinach lasts a week in the fridge, which tells you how fresh it is. Saturday roosterkoek is a family outing now.

Our veg box arrives on Thursday and the children fight over the tomatoes. We have not bought supermarket eggs in a year.

The family beef pack is the best value in the Midlands, and you can see the cattle on the way in.
